Governance Review

The project encompassed reviewing the current Governance systems, processes and procedures as well as roles and responsibilities for Governance tasks across functional areas of the Council’s organisation to identify issues of coordination and accountability. This was followed by an assessment of current arrangements against a checklist of legislative requirements and good industry practice to identify any gaps requiring attention.

The review identified areas where improvement could be made to assist the assurance and integrity of Governance systems, making recommendations accordingly. The recommendations were used by Council to address structural and managerial/supervisory resourcing issues.
